Your first fifteen minutes
You have signed up and the receipt is in your inbox. This is the whole setup, in order. Most people are done before the coffee is cold.
1. Sign in (one minute)
Go to app.digwindow.com, type the email you bought with, and click Email me a sign-in code. Type the 8-digit code from the email. There is no password to set, now or ever; every sign-in sends a fresh code.
2. Verify your mailbox (one minute)
Open the Company tab. The box at the top shows two addresses: your intake address (yourcompany@digwindow.net) and your locates mailbox, the one that gets a copy of every One Call email exactly as before.
In that locates mailbox, find the email from Cloudflare (noreply@notify.cloudflare.com) with the subject [Action required] Verify your Email Routing address (check junk) and click Verify email address in it. Cloudflare then shows a page that mentions an Email Routing page; ignore it, there is nothing more to do there. Back in Dig Window, press Check. The box turns ready, and Dig Window sends a test email to your intake address so you can see one land in your mailbox. You can delete that test.
Wrong mailbox? Press Change in the box first, then verify the new one.
3. Point One Call at Dig Window (two minutes)
In the Ontario One Call portal, change the Main Contact email on your Contractor ID to your intake address. From then on every confirmation and utility response lands on your tracker and is passed on to your mailbox untouched. Where to click.
4. Install the Chrome extension (two minutes)
On the coordinator's computer, add the Dig Window extension and sign in. It reads the dig zones you draw at One Call, from your own portal session, and puts them on the field map. How it works.
5. Add your crew (five minutes)
Team, then Add a person. Field users sign in at field.digwindow.com on their own phone, with their email and a code, one phone per person. Nothing to install on the phones. What they will see, and how to control who sees what.
6. Wait for the first ticket
The next One Call confirmation that arrives shows up on the tracker within a minute, and its dig zone follows the next time the coordinator opens the portal. How to read the tracker.
