Projects and assignment
Projects keep tickets sorted by job. Assignment decides which crew sees which tickets on their phone. Both take a minute.
Make a project
- Tracker, select the tickets for a job (tick the boxes), Add to project, name it.
- A ticket can sit in more than one project; projects are labels, not folders.
- The field app opens on the list of projects, so a crew picks their job and sees only its map.
Assign people
Open a project, Assign, tick the field users. If your company is set to assigned only (Company tab), those people see this project and nothing else; everyone else's list stays blank until they are assigned somewhere. If you are on see everything (the default), assignment is a filter the crew can use, not a wall.
Sharing with another company
If a partner or subcontractor works your locates, link the two companies first (Partners tab, Invite a partner, their coordinator's email; they accept on their side), then tick their name under Shared with on the project. They receive the complete package on their own Dig Window plan (Partner, or Tracker and up), grouped under your name, and their crews never count against your seats. Sharing is a $99 a month add-on under Company, Billing.
